Kelly Clarkson has not always had it easy, both pre and post Idol. Growing up in Burleson, Texas, she comes from a family of divorce and hardship. When Kelly Clarkson first appeared on American Idol, she had no real sense of style but her voice was as big as many out there and her personality lit up faces nationally each week on TV. Singing songs by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Dionne Warwick, she never saw herself sitting in the bottom contestants while in the beginning, she was considered the underdog. On September 4th, 2002, Kelly Clarkson had become our American Idol. She released her winning song “A Moment Like This” and watched it soar up the charts, beating a record on the Billboard Hot 100 previously held by The Beatles for highest jump to No. 1.

The album’s lead single “Since U Been Gone” rocked out radio and clubs nationwide and is to date her best selling single. Breakaway has sold 12 million copies worldwide and brought in her parent record label over $100 million in revenue.
With the success of the record come the perks. She embarked on several tours, three in 2005 alone. Two of the tours in the U.S. were sold out and her international world tour was a success as well. 2006 saw Kelly taking home two Grammy Awards and performing for her peers. She beat out some of music’s biggest names including Mariah Carey, Paul McCartney, Sheryl Crow and Gwen Stefani. Capitalizing on her success, she ventured out on yet another tour beginning June 30th to preview songs she’d like to include on her follow up to Breakaway. She’d reported that she would be ditching the bubblegum pop and would be writing and recording with her backing band. The idea was embraced largely by the public as she included new songs in each tour she’d written with someone in the band. However, the album that was supposed to be the most anticipated of 2007 turned out to be another one of music’s infamous turmoil challenges: the label vs. the artist.
Kelly Clarkson paired up with legendary David Kahne, responsible for songs such as “Manic Monday” and “Walk Like An Egyptian,” to produce her third studio effort. Co-writing over 50 songs, her team narrowed it down to 26 songs to record and kept 14 for the standard track listing. The album that would be called My December, took on a more mature, raw and emotional approach. During the Breakaway era, she’d worked herself to death, missing family and friends and having a hard time finding good people to surround herself with. Needless to say, the stress took its toll, including a relationship that ended shortly before the release of her second record. Dating producer and ex-guitarist of Evanescence David Hodges, she found herself being cheated on with his former girlfriend. He’d produced “Because of You,” “Addicted,” and a track that didn’t make the cut titled “Bleed For Me.” After he married the former flame two months after Clarkson found out, she penned the song “Never Again” that would become the lead single for her next record 2 ½ years later.
Turning in the material to her RCA label, they were not pleased with the record, especially legendary record producer Clive Davis, responsible for Whitney Houston, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Hall and Oates and many more. Clarkson and her manager at the time were executive producers of the record and that didn’t sit well with Davis. He quickly dismissed the record as unsellable, he didn’t hear any hits and it wouldn’t sell more than 750,000 copies. Shelving the record for four months, he tried every trick in the book to get her to change her mind. He reportedly offered her $10 million to replace or change 5 songs to make them more radio friendly. However, after receiving rip off “Since U Been Gone” compositions and a song from Lindsay Lohan’s second record, she stuck to her ground and compromised to release My December as is and she would in turn create a more mainstream record the next time around.
A week before it’s June 26th release date, she fired management The Firm and hired Reba McEntire’s husband for Starstruck Entertainment. McEntire, Clarkson’s childhood hero, had already formed a budding relationship with the American Idol Grammy winner.
RCA had claimed that “Never Again” was too bitter and the public wouldn’t accept it as Alanis Morissette already had “You Oughta Know” in the 90’s. However, numbers proved them wrong. The song only peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100 but has since went on to sell just 10,000 copies shy of being a platinum selling single. While the video reached No. 1 on VH1, the song was being pulled from radio while a second single was planned to arrive in July titled “Sober.” The label not wanting to promote the record at all did not push the single to radio and it failed to chart inside the 100, peaking at 124. The U.S. received no more singles. Fans were outraged that an artist of such calibre would be treated so disrespectfully. Although the record only has been certified platinum one time in the U.S., it proves that real music is not dead and that you don’t need a formula hit song to sell records, especially to your fans. Media was very positive and remained mainly on Clarkson’s side throughout the whole entanglement stating she’d “earned the right to call the shots.”

Elvis and Priscilla were married May 1, 1967, nearly eight years after their courtship began. The wedding was private, and it was held at the Alladin Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the conclusion of the press conference, a breakfast reception was held. There were 100 guests in attendance for the reception. The cake was six-tiered. Their first dance as husband and wife was to the song "Love Me Tender."
After the wedding, the two left to honeymoon in Palm Springs, California to vacation for a few days. They stayed at 1350 Ladera Circle in a grand home. The location is now available for tours. The two planned on having their wedding at the estate in Palm Springs. However, the media onslaught forced them to change their plans. The morning of the wedding, the two had to sneak out the back door of their estate and meet up with a limo on Rose Avenue. Upon arrival to Rose Avenue, there were limousines prepared to drive them and the wedding party to the airport.
Frank Sinatra loaned Elvis his private jet "Christina." By 4:00 a.m. the two had arrived and already obtained their marriage license. The actual wedding took place at 9:40 a.m. at the Alladin hotel in the owner's suite. On the same day, the couple left for their honeymoon, back in Palm Springs, California. The Scandal: Canadian snowboarder Ross Rebagliati had to suffer the ultimate indignation that can be experienced by a sports star – after winning Olympic Gold at the 1998 Winter Olympics he was stripped of his medal when marijuana was discovered in his system.
The Recovery: Interestingly, the ruling was quickly overturned and the medal returned Rebagliati to on the grounds that marijuana a) wasn’t on the list of banned substances and b) wasn’t classed as a performance enhancing drug. Indeed, someone who can win Olympic Gold whilst in any way under the influence of marijuana probably deserves another medal of a different kind!
Damon Stroudamire
The Scandal: Skilled basketball player Damon Stroudamire, nicknamed “Mighty Mouse”, kept hitting the headlines for various marijuana related incidents whilst playing for the Portland Trail Blazers (who unfortunately became know as the Jail Blazers when Stroudamire was playing for them, due to numerous discipline and drug issues.) After his third arrest for marijuana possession in 2003, he was fined a quarter of a million dollars and banned for three months.
The Recovery: Stroudamire went through a 90 day rehabilitation program after his suspension. He also struck a deal with a journalist, that he would provide a urine sample at any point in the season that the journalist nominated. He went on to have one of his best ever seasons, and took the journalist’s test half way through to negative results.
So, unless you are a Japanese sumo wrestler, it seems that marijuana isn’t too damaging in the long term to your career – and that it is more widespread in the sporting world than anyone would normally think…

Model Behavior: Gisele Bündchen
Bundchen was born in Brazil and was discovered by a modeling agency at age 13. Three years later she moved to New York City and debuted as a model at Fashion Week.
By 1999 Bundchen made her debut on the cover of Vogue magazine; she would appear on the magazine’s cover two more times that year. That same year she won top honors as the VH1/Vogue magazine Model of the Year and again appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine in January 2000.
Rolling Stone put her on its cover in 2000 and declared her “the most beautiful girl in the world. Since then Bundchen has graced the covers of every top fashion magazine including W, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Allure and Marie Claire including international editions. She has also appeared on the covers of lifestyle magazines like GQ, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair and been mentioned in mainstream news and business magazines like Time, Forbes and Newsweek.

Annie Leibovitz: Creating Magazine Controversy
Leibovitz was born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1949. Her father was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force and so the Leibovitz family moved frequently including a stint in the Philippines where Leibovitz began taking pictures.
After high school Leibovitz attended the San Francisco Art Institute where she studied photography. For several years, she continued to develop her photography skills while working various jobs, including a stint on a collective agriculture community in Israel in 1969.
Upon her return to the United States, Leibovitz worked for the fledgling magazine Rolling Stone. By 1973 Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner promoted Leibovitz to chief photographer, a role she held until 1983. Many of her intimate photos of celebrities helped launch and define the look and brand of Rolling Stone magazine including 1980’s controversial photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, in which a nude Lennon is curled around and kissing a fully-clothed Ono.
The photo turned out to be the last photo taken of the pop icon Lennon. Five hours later he was shot and killed. The photo ran a month later on Rolling Stone’s January 22, 1981 cover as a tribute to the legendary musician.
In 2005 the American Society of Magazine Editors announced the Lennon/Ono Rolling Stone magazine cover was the top winner of the group’s “40 Most Influential Magazine Covers” of the last 40 years as determined by a panel of magazine editors, artists and designers.
Other notable photos for Rolling Stone magazine that Leibovitz shot include provocative shots of singer Linda Ronstadt and teen pop star David Cassidy in 1972, which caused controversy at the time of publication.
In 1983 Leibovitz started shooting feature portraits for Vanity Fair magazine and continues her work with the fashion magazine to this day. Last year Leibovitz’s portrait of 16-year-old pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus sparked a media controversy. In Leibovitz’s portrait of Cyrus the singer-actress seemingly appeared topless, an inconsistency to Cyrus’s wholesome image according to Cyrus supporters and critics. It was later determined that Cyrus was in fact wrapped in a sheet for the photo shoot.
Before the Miley Cyrus/Vanity Fair debacle, Leibovitz stirred up media frenzy with her portrait of actresses Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson for Vanity Fair’s 2006 Hollywood issue. And last year’s the Vogue magazine cover featuring LeBron James and Gisele Bundchen also created controversy.
But it was back in 1991 that Leibovitz created incredible and long-lasting controversy with a photo of a nude and pregnant Demi Moore for Vanity Fair magazine, which ran on the fashion magazine’s cover. Moore also appeared later on the cover of the same magazine nude with a suit painted on her body.

Julia Roberts: Pretty Woman On Magazine Covers
Julia Roberts was born in 1967 as Julia Ruberto in Atlanta, GA. After graduating from high school Roberts moved to New York City to live with her sister Lisa and began pursuing her acting career. At this time she changed her name to Julia Roberts.
The actress made her film debut alongside her brother Eric Roberts in 1987’s Blood Red, and the flop Satisfaction. The following year she garnered attention from moviegoers and critics, including a nod by People magazine, which names her one of the most-promising newcomers of 1988, with her role as a head-strong waitress in the indie film Mystic Pizza; she also landed parts on popular TV shows like Miami Vice and Sesame Street.
In 1989 at age 22 Roberts gave one of the best performances of her career in the hit drama Steel Magnolias, in which she played a young wife struggling with diabetes and motherhood. The fantastic performance earned Roberts a Golden Globe award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Roberts followed up her Steel Magnolias success with an even bigger box office success—Pretty Woman. In 2002 Roberts married Danny Moder, a cameraman she met while filming The Mexican. The pair wed secretly at Roberts’ New Mexico ranch but wedding pictures later appeared in People magazine. The couple became parents to twins Finn and Hazel in 2004 and Henry in 2007. Upon starting a family Roberts scaled back her roles; since 2007 she has appeared in one movie a year including Charlie Wilson’s War, Fireflies in the Garden, Duplicity and the upcoming Friday Night Knitting Club.
Since her breakthrough success Roberts has been a favorite subject among top-selling magazines. She was the first actress to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine and the first woman to appear on the cover of GQ. People magazine has named her one of its “50 Most Beautiful People” eleven times and has appeared on the celebrity magazine’s cover a total of 29 times. In 2001 Ladies Home Journal magazine ranked her as the 11th most powerful woman in America. Carrie Underwood: Entertainer Of The Year
Underwood was born in Oklahoma in 1983 and was raised on her parents' farm in Checotah, Oklahoma. During her childhood, Underwood performed at Robbins Memorial Talent Show, Free Will Baptist Church and for local events in Checotah. In 1996, she started the process of getting a recording contract with Capitol Records, but the deal was never completed due to management issues at the record company.
After graduating from Checotah High School Underwood attended and graduated from Northeaster State University in 2006 with a degree in journalism. During college Underwood performed and competed in many talent shows.
In the summer of 2004, Underwood auditioned for and landed a spot for the fourth season of the popular American singing competition show American Idol. During the top 11 finalists' performance on the March 22, 2005, American Idol episode, Underwood sang the 1980s rock hit "Alone" by female rock-duo Heart, which prompted American Idol judge Simon Cowell to predict that Underwood would not only win the competition, but she would also outsell all previous American Idol winners.
During the American Idol competition Underwood became one of five winners never to have been voted in the bottom three (Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks and David Cook are the others.) While on the show, Underwood gained a loyal fan base known as "Carrie's Care Bears." On May 25, 2005, Underwood was crowned the winner.

Three Of Hollywood’s Worse Teeth
Celebrities are good-looking; there is no doubt about that - and they have to be. However, they are not immune to dental imperfections. Crooked teeth, pointy fangs, or yellowish teeth are common dental problems to most hot celebs.
The following is a list of Hollywood stars, both famous and the no-so-famous stars who have or have had (in the past) bad teeth:
1. Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is no doubt one hot Hollywood hunk. But did you ever notice that he had crooked teeth before? When he was still a kid, you can easily spot how mal-aligned his teeth were. If you look even closer at his pictures in the past, you can notice that his jaw is a little crooked as well. Today, with the help of modern Cosmetic Dentistry, minor alignment and teeth whitening treatments have transformed Tom Cruise into a much hotter hunk!
2. Keanu Reeves
A photo of Keanu Reeves which was taken just recently revealed that he has major dental problems. The star of the box-office hit The Matrix used to be as hot as Tom Cruise before. Britney Spears Circus Tourcostumes
Britney Spears is back with a new CD, a new tour, and a new attitude. After shaving her head, being hospitalized, and fighting for custody of her children, Britney is back on her feet and ready to sing.
Debuting with her chart-topping song “Womanizer”, Britney continued to make her comeback known with her two other hits, “If U Seek Amy” and “Circus”. “Circus”, which illuminates Britney’s drive to be in the spot light, is the theme for her ongoing tour.

Britney’s tour includes elaborate costuming, shows, props, and stunts. For the majority of her tour, Britney is wearing a circus ring-leader type uniform that is more edgy than risqué, and with masculine shoulder pads and a whip, she dominates the stage.
Joining her on stage is a mass of different people in various intricate costumes, including clowns, animals, and showgirls, all with a sexual and modern twist. Her back-up performers can be seen jumping through hoops, juggling, performing acrobatic tricks and stunts, and of course, dancing with Britney.
All of the costumes and performers have a sexual sadistic/masochistic theme. At one point during her performance, Britney peels off her dominating Ring Master costume, to reveal a raunchy three-piece corset and panty set. She is then “thrown” into a cage with leather clad men wearing muzzles. Around her are chained acrobats, tight-rope balancing women in scant clothing, and shirtless muscle men. All in all, Britney’s show is wild.
Tickets for Britney’s concerts have been a hot item since they went on sale in January, and all but a few are sold out. Those who still need tickets have a slim chance of obtaining them unless they can find a local seller, or multiple radio stations are giving away Britney tickets in contests.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Britney’s tour, some even going so far as to buy near-matching costumes to look like Britney’s Ring Master outfit. Others have dressed in corsets, thigh-high vinyl boots, and top hats to keep with the Circus theme of the concert.
The official Britney Spears’ website lists a few ways to copy Britney’s Circus look, including where to find most the pieces at local retailers such as Forever 21. Costume site Yandy features a Lion Tamer costume that strongly resembles Britney’s Ring Master costume.

Cameron Diaz Plans For A Wedding…
On Thursday we caught up with Cameron Diaz smiling, and walking with a visible spring in her step as she strode through New York.
And Cameron’s got good reason to smile, as we hear she’s been busily planning a secret wedding. Apparently the star plans to marry her boyfriend Paul Sculfor sometime this summer, and the pair are said to be booking a hotel for their guests in the English countryside, and they’re looking at big country estates to say their “I do’s” in. A source revealed:
“Paul and Cameron are so happy together and have talked about getting married this summer or early autumn, and then having kids immediately. It’s the real deal and they’re absolutely crazy about each other.”
Jack Tweed Faces Further Assault Charges…
While his terminally ill wife is currently undergoing surgery in a desperate bid to alleviate the excruciating pain she's in, Jack Tweed made his way to Epping Magistrates Court to face further charges of assault.
This time Jade’s 21-year-old husband stands accused of attacking a taxi driver at 50mph after losing his temper over the fare. According to reports he, “grabbed the driver round the neck and threatened to stab him after refusing to pay the £50 cab fare upfront.”
Taxi driver Stephen Wilkins claims, “He got hold of me with his arm. Pulled his arm around my neck and held it against the headrest.
“He was leaning over me, over the back seat, with his face alongside my face screaming... He leant forward and yanked the handbrake up. He was screaming in my face. He was so, so aggressive.”
He also claims there was another man in the car that found the situation highly amusing and, “He (the second man) just kept shouting out, ’News of the World. Jack Tweedy. News of the World. Jack Tweedy’.”
Mr Tweed denies assault by beating, which if found guilty carries a possible jail term of six months.
Chris Brown Is Living It Up In Miami...
Following his alleged assault on girlfriend Rihanna last month, singer Chris Brown finally emerged and spent the weekend riding the waves on Miami Beach.
Sporting a ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ t-shirt, Chris was all smiles as he cruised along on his jet ski.
Now we’re not sure how we expected him to look and it’s not like he can walk around holding an ‘I’m sorry’ placard, but there’s something about his big smile that just doesn’t sit comfortably with us. Especially when you compare these pictures to how depressed Rihanna looked when she was spotted in Mexico last week. It just doesn’t seem right does it?!
Brown is due in court this Thursday to face charges of assault and making criminal threats.

Consumer demand for rare colored diamonds has skyrocketed in recent years. One of the reasons they have grown so popular, aside from being a smart investment strategy, is that they have been donned with greater and greater frequency by some of the world's most famous celebrities. With more and more celebrities walking down the red carpet wearing natural colored diamond jewelry, it was only a matter of time before the adoring masses took notice.

According to various tabloid publications and reports in the mainstream press, David had an extramarital affair with another woman and i an effort to redeem himself purchased the rare colored diamonds to symbolize his love for his wife.
